Frequently
Asked Questions |
Q. Can a patient that has an automobile accident put their PCD membership "on hold" in order to use the accident insurance?
A. Yes. Their patient status changes to insurance and their PCD is on hold until they are well or the insurance is exhausted and then the patient can reinstate their PCD again, provided they renewed their membership at the normal renewal date. The PCD membership is not pro-rated for unused time.
Q. Can I apply PCD payments to insurance deductibles?
A. No, you cannot. This is a term of agreement on the back of the membership enrollment.
Q. Can Medicare patients use PCD after their yearly visits have run out?
A. Yes, there is a specific procedure which needs to be followed in order to allow Medicare patients to qualify for PCD. We have created a Medicare Repair Kit package for those who are interested in offering PCD to their Medicare patients. (See Products and Services Page for more information)
Q. Can patients that have a Medical Savings Account participate in PCD?
A. Yes. This is cash money that the patient saves for their medical care in lieu of paying insurance.
Q. Can people who live together, but are not married, have a family membership?
A. Yes.
